MNML
CHICAGO, USA // As a co-founder and Chief Brand Officer of Farming First, Scott Wilson is responsible for overseeing the company's brand strategy and house brands, as well as its upcoming turnkey brand incubator. This incubator will provide new cannabis customers with full-stack capabilities, from genetics, cultivation, and formulation to branding, packaging, device development, and shelf-ready products. Farming First is California's largest licensed state-of the-art contiguous cannabis cultivator and wholesale provider, with a light-dep facility that employs a unique "hybrid farming methodology" combining indoor growing technology with the cost efficiency and sustainability of sun-grown farming.
Wilson is also the founder and CEO & Chief Creative Office of MNML, a Chicago-based product development, brand strategy, and innovation firm. Over its 15-year history, MNML has created billions of dollars of commercial success for entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 companies alike, including Nike, Adidas, Nespresso, Theragun, Bang & Olufsen, Steelcase, Beats, Meta, Xbox, and Budscout, a game-changing AI cannabis cultivation grobot.
Wilson's personal journey to a pain-free, Pharma-free existence led him to cannabis in 2017, where he launched his CBD brand in a JV with Cresco Labs and served as Cresco Labs' Chief Experience Officer. He and his studio, MNML, created Cresco's House of Brands and Sunnyside* retail brand in 2019, which helped elevate the cannabis startup to become a leading national MSO today. Wilson also worked closely with Happy Munkey, a NY social equity forerunner, to develop their new brand identity as they navigate their journey to the legal NY market and beyond. Scott holds over 30 patents and trademarks in the cannabis industry.
Recognized by FastCompany and TIME Magazine as one of the most influential designers in the world, Wilson received the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award, an honor bestowed by the White House on the nation's top designer each year.
