He is also the co-founder of Project Evolve, a strategic marketing think tank and consultancy, as well as the Global Cannabis Network Collective, an elite network for business professionals building and transforming the international cannabis trade. He brings decades of advertising and experiential marketing success coupled with deep entrepreneurial drive for building high growth opportunities.
Chris spent over two decades leading advertising and marketing agencies and departments as well as his own communications firm focused on events and public relations programs for some of the nation’s largest companies in the financial services, cannabis, automotive, tourism, hospitality, government and telecommunications sectors.
Chris employs a philosophy of collaborative marketing, tested brand architecture methods and a heart for community building with the belief that corporate responsibility and engagement is a key anchor to successful customer connectivity. His proven efforts have been recognized via awards like the American Marketing Association’s Marketing Excellence Award, recognized two years in a row with Folio’s Digital Momentum Award, led the marketing team that won first place three years in a row for TSE’s Fastest 50 fastest growing B2B trade shows and TSNN’s Fastest growing show award, ADDY Gold Awards for work on USAA Bank, and PRN Awards for multilingual & multicultural acquisition campaigns for consumer and government brands.
Chris is a regular speaker around the world on the topics of marketing strategy, events and collaborative leadership. He has served on a number of boards including the San Antonio River Foundation, UWPIAA Global Board of Governors, AMA regional chapter president, and currently the Cannabis Doing Good Advisory committee. The New Mexico native is a graduate of Colorado State University’s College of Business and MIT’s Executive Education Program in digital marketing.
